Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
