Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
