The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 Who guard their sex 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
