The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
