The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
