We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
