Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 As a warning unto men, 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 Of evil-doers: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
