The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
