The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, 1 And the earth throws out its burdens. 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 upon that day she shall tell her tidings 4 as thy Sustainer will have inspired her to do! 5 On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. 6 And so, he who shall have done an atom's weight of good, shall behold it; 7 and whoever has done an atom's weight of evil, will also see it. 8
