Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book,- 2 for a guidance and a mercy to the good-doers 3 people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. 4 It is they who are on guidance from their Lord, and only they are the successful. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have gardens of bliss, 8 wherein they will live forever. It is the true promise of God. He is Majestic and All-wise. 9 He hath created the heavens that ye behold without pillars, and hath cast into the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you; and He hath scattered thereon every kind of animal. And We send down water from the heaven and We make grow every kind of goodly growth therein. 10 This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error 11
