Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 In a lofty garden, 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 and goblets set forth 14 and cushions ranged, 15 and outspread carpets. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed, 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
