Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
