Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
