The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 and gathered his people together 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
