And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly, 32 And We gave them signs in which lay clear favours. 33 These people say, 34 "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
