And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve, from the Fire! 27 Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked? 28 (It is) a Book We have revealed to you abounding in good that they may ponder over its verses, and that those endowed with understanding may be mindful. 29 And We gave unto David Solomon; how excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 30 When well-bred horses, which were fleet of foot were paraded before him near the close of day, 31 he said, 'Lo, I have loved the love of good things better than the remembrance of my Lord, until the sun was bidden behind the veil. 32 "Bring them back unto me!" - and would [lovingly] stroke their legs and their necks. 33 Surely We put Solomon to the test and cast upon his throne a mere body. Thereupon he penitently turned (to Us). 34 He said, "O my Lord! Forgive me, and grant me a kingdom which, (it may be), suits not another after me: for Thou art the Grantor of Bounties (without measure). 35 We therefore gave the wind under his control, moving steadily by his command wherever he wished. 36 and the satans, every builder and diver 37 And many others bound in bond. 38 This is Our gift, so bestow thou or withhold, without rendering an account. 39 And lo! he hath favour with Us, and a happy journey's end. 40
