Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? 24 When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). 25 Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, 26 And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 That we may send upon them stones of clay, 33 Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." 34 We saved the believers among them, 35 But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: 36 And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. 37 And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant, 38 But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman. 39 So We seized him and his hosts, and We cast them into the sea, and he blameworthy. 40 And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them. 41 It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. 42 And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' 43 They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. 44 And neither stand up nor defend themselves. 45 The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. 46
