Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the night when it covers the day, 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah), 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 It is indeed for Us to show the way, 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back. 16 And avoid it shall the most pious, 17 who spend for the cause of God and purify themselves. 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 Except only the desire to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High; 20 and such, indeed, shall in time be well-pleased. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
