Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
