Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 and the severally severing 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
