The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In extended columns. 9
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
