۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then the Pharaoh sent announcers to the cities, 53 (Proclaiming): "Surely they are a small band (of fugitives). 54 they have enraged us, 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 We therefore got them out from the gardens and water springs. 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain. 63 And We brought near thither the others. 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 68
