۞ Say: "I urge upon you only one thing: Stand up for God two by two or one by one, and think and reflect!" There is no madness about your companion. He is a warner against the dreadful affliction (that awaits). 46 Say, "Whatever payment I might have asked of you - it is yours. My payment is only from Allah, and He is, over all things, Witness." 47 Say: Lo! my Lord hurleth the truth. (He is) the Knower of Things Hidden. 48 Say: "The truth has now come [to light, and falsehood is bound to wither away]: for, falsehood cannot bring forth anything new, nor can it bring back [what has passed away]." 49 Say, "If I should err, I would only err against myself. But if I am guided, it is by what my Lord reveals to me. Indeed, He is Hearing and near." 50 Couldst thou but see when they are terrified with no escape, and are seized from near at hand, 51 then they will say, "We now believe in Him." But how will they attain to faith, having gone so far away from it? 52 Whereas they disbelieved therein afore, and conjectured about the unseen from a place so afar. 53 And a barrier is set between them and that which they desire, as it was done before with their like; they were in suspicious doubt' 54
