In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Alif Lam Mim Sad 1 This is a Book revealed to you. Let there be no impediment in your heart about it. (It has been revealed to you) that you may thereby warn [the unbelievers], that it may be a reminder to the believers. 2 Follow that which is sent down to you from your Lord and do not follow guardians other than Him; little do you remember. 3 And how many a town that We destroyed, so Our punishment came to it by night or while they slept at midday. 4 And when Our punishment overtook them they had nothing to say except crying out: "We have indeed been sinners." 5 So We shall call to account those to whom Messengers were sent, and We shall call to account the Messengers (to see how dutifully they conveyed the Message, and how people responded to it). 6 We shall recount (their deeds) to them with knowledge, for We were never absent (and saw all they did). 7 And the weighing on that day (Day of Resurrection) will be the true (weighing). So as for those whose scale (of good deeds) will be heavy, they will be the successful (by entering Paradise). 8 And those whose scales are light - they are the ones who will lose themselves for what injustice they were doing toward Our verses. 9 And certainly We have established you in the earth and made in it means of livelihood for you; little it is that you give thanks. 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
