Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know all that you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
