The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then he mustered 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
