The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful 1

All praise unto Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. 2 The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 Thee alone do we worship; and unto Thee alone do we turn for aid. 5 Guide us in the straight path, 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
