Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
