And who is more unjust than one who fabricates lies against Allah or denies His signs? Undoubtedly, the unjust will never succeed. 21 And on the Day when We shall gather them all together, We shall ask those who associated others with -Allah in His divinity: 'Where, now, are your partners whom you imagined (to have a share in the divinity of Allah)?' 22 Then it was not their trial, but they will say: 'By Allah, our Lord we have never been idolaters' 23 See how they lie against their own souls, and that which they forged has passed away from them. 24 And of them are some who hearken unto thee, and We have set over their hearts veils lest they understand it and in their ears heaviness, and though they see any sign they will not believe therein; in as much as when they come to thee, they dispute with thee, then who disbelieve say: this is naught but the fables of the ancients. 25 And they stop (others) from it and run away from it; and they ruin none except themselves, and they do not have sense. 26 And could you see when they are made to stand before the fire, then they shall say: Would that we were sent back, and we would not reject the communications of our Lord and we would be of the believers. 27 Indeed, that which they concealed will appear to them. But if they were sent back, they would return to that which they have been forbidden. They are indeed liars. 28 And they (sometimes) say: "There is nothing except our life on this earth, and never shall we be raised up again." 29 If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with their Lord! He will say: "Is not this the truth?" They will say: "Yea, by our Lord!" He will say: "Taste ye then the penalty, because ye rejected Faith." 30
