In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Alif, Lam, Mim, Sad. 1 A DIVINE WRIT has been bestowed from on high upon thee - and let there be no doubt about this in thy heart - in order that thou mayest warn [the erring] thereby, and [thus] admonish the believers: 2 Follow that which is sent down to you from your Lord and do not follow guardians other than Him; little do you remember. 3 And how many cities have We destroyed, and Our punishment came to them at night or while they were sleeping at noon. 4 And when Our punishment overtook them they had nothing to say except crying out: "We have indeed been sinners." 5 So undoubtedly We shall question those to whom Our Noble Messengers went, and indeed We shall question the Noble Messengers. 6 So indeed We shall inform them with Our knowledge and We were not absent. 7 And the measuring out on that day will be just; then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be successful; 8 and those whose scales are light will be the losers, for they, are the ones who have been unjust to Our signs. 9 YEA, INDEED, [O men,] We have given you a [bountiful] place on earth, and appointed thereon means of livelihood for you: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
