The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
