Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24

We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous Day. 59 The chieftains of his people said: Lo! we see thee surely in plain error. 60 (Noah) said, "My people, I am not in any error, rather I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Universe, 61 I am delivering unto you my Sustainer's messages and giving you good advice: for I know [through revelation] from God what you do not know. 62 Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you and that you may fear Allah so you might receive mercy." 63 But they called him a liar, so We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our communications; surely they were a blind people. 64
