Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24

Indeed, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha ill-Allah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!" 59 But the assembly of his nation said: 'We can see that you are in clear error.' 60 [Noah] said, "O my people, there is not error in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds." 61 “Conveying to you the messages of my Lord and wishing good for you, and I know from Allah what you do not know.” 62 What, do you wonder that a reminder from your Lord should come to you by the lips of a man from among you? That he may warn you, and you be godfearing, haply to find mercy.' 63 Then they belied him; thereupon We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and drowned those who belied Our signs; verily they were a people blind. 64
