We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous Day. 59 Said the eminent among his people, "Indeed, we see you in clear error." 60 He said: 'O my people! There is no error in me, but I am a Messenger from the Lord of the universe. 61 I bring to you the messages of my Lord, and give you sincere advice, for I know from God what you do not know. 62 Do you wonder that admonition should come to you from your Lord through a man from amongst yourselves that he may warn you, that you may avoid evil and that mercy may be shown to you?' 63 They accused him of telling lies. So We saved him and his companions in an ark and drowned those who called Our revelations mere lies. They were, no doubt, a blind people. 64
