To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? 100 We have told you the stories of those towns: their messengers came to them with clear signs, but they were never going to believe in something they had already rejected. Thus God seals up the hearts of those who deny the truth. 101 And most of them We found not (true) to their covenant, but most of them We found indeed Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 102 Then after them We sent Musa (Moses) with Our Signs to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, but they wrongfully rejected them. So see how was the end of the Mufsidun (mischief-makers, corrupts, etc.). 103 Moses said: "O Pharaoh, I have been sent by the Lord of all the worlds; 104 "I am duty bound to speak nothing of God but the truth I have brought from your Lord a clear sign; so let the people of Israel depart with me." 105 Said Firaun, “If you have come with a sign, then present it if you are truthful!” 106 Thereupon Moses threw his rod, and suddenly it was a veritable serpent. 107 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white [with radiance] for the observers. 108
