Does it not guide the people who inherit the land from former people that We can punish them for their sins if We will? And seal up their hearts so that they would not be able to lend an ear to words of guidance? 100 Those townships! We recount unto thee some tidings thereof. Assuredly there came unto them their apostles with evidences, but they were not such as to believe that which they had erst belied. Thus doth Allah put a seal upon the hearts of the infidels. 101 And most of them We found not (true) to their covenant, but most of them We found indeed Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 102 After those We sent forth Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his assembly, but with it they harmed. Look at the end of the corrupters. 103 Moses said, "Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the Universe, 104 And it behoves me to say nothing about Allah except what is true. I have come to you with a clear sign of having been sent from your Lord. So let the Children of Israel go with me.' 105 Pharaoh said: if you have brought a sign, then bring it forth if you are truthful.' 106 Then (Moses) threw his rod, and behold! it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 107 And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white (with radiance) for the beholders. 108
