۞ It is God Who created you from a single soul and out of it made its spouse to bring it comfort. When he (man) engaged in carnal relations with her, she conceived a light burden which she had to carry. When the baby grew in her womb, they (husband and wife) both prayed to their Lord, "If You grant us a healthy son we shall certainly give you thanks." 189 But when He vouchsafes them a healthy child, they attribute to Him partners regarding what Allah had bestowed upon them. Subliminally exalted is Allah above that which they associate with Him. 190 Do they associate with Him those who create nothing and are themselves created? 191 And cannot provide any help to them, nor do they help themselves? 192 If you call them to guidance they will not follow you; equal it is to you whether you call them, or whether you are silent. 193 Indeed those whom you (the disbelievers) worship besides Allah are slaves like you – so call them and they may answer you, if you are truthful! 194 Have they feet wherewith they walk, or have they hands wherewith they hold, or have they eyes wherewith they see, or have they ears wherewith they hear? Say: Call upon your (so-called) partners (of Allah), and then contrive against me, spare me not! 195 My guardian is Allah Who has revealed the Book, and it is He Who protects the righteous. 196 Those whom you call on besides Him have no power to help you, nor can they help themselves." 197 And if ye call them towards guidance they will not hear and thou wilt behold them looking at thee, but they see not. 198 Accept the easing, order with fine jurisprudence, and avoid the ignorant. 199 If Satan will try to seduce you, seek refuge from God. God is All-hearing and All-knowing. 200 Lo! those who ward off (evil), when a glamour from the devil troubleth them, they do but remember (Allah's Guidance) and behold them seers! 201 Their brethren plunge them further into error and cease not. 202 And whenever thou bringest not unto them, as a sign, they say: wherefore hast not thou selected it? Say thou: I only follow that which hath been revealed unto me by my Lord. This is an enlightenment from your Lord and a guidance and a mercy unto a people who believe. 203 And when the Qur'an is recited, give ear to it and pay heed, that ye may obtain mercy. 204 And do thou (O reader!) Bring thy Lord to remembrance in thy (very) soul, with humility and in reverence, without loudness in words, in the mornings and evenings; and be not thou of those who are unheedful. 205 [The angels] who are near to Your Lord, never turn away from His service out of arrogance; they rather glorify Him and prostrate themselves before Him. ۩ 206
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
