And the king said: Surely I see seven fat kine which seven lean ones devoured; and seven green ears and (seven) others dry: O chiefs! explain to me my dream, if you can interpret the dream. 43 They said: Confused dreams, and we do not know the interpretation of dreams. 44 After all that time, the one of the two who had been saved remembered, he said: 'I will interpret it for you, so let me go' 45 (He went to the prison) and said to Joseph, "You are a man of truth. Would you tell me the meaning of a dream in which seven fat cows eat up seven lean ones and the meaning of seven green ears of corn and seven dry ones? I hope you can tell me the right meaning and save people from confusion." 46 He said, “You will cultivate for seven years continuously; so leave all that you harvest in the ear, except a little which you eat.” 47 Then there will come seven years of hardship which will consume the grain you had laid up against them, except a little you may have stored away. 48 Then will come after that a year in which the people will be given rain and in which they will press [olives and grapes]." 49
