The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 who observe Zakah; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
