The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This is The Book free of doubt and involution, a guidance for those who preserve themselves from evil and follow the straight path, 2 Who believe in [the existence of] that which is beyond the reach of human perception, and are constant in prayer, and spend on others out of what We provide for them as sustenance; 3 And who believe in that which hath been sent down unto thee and that which hath been sent down before thee and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 4 those are upon guidance from their Lord, those are the ones who prosper. 5 Verily those who have disbelieved, it is equal to them whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and ears, and veiled their eyes. For them is great deprivation. 7
