And when Abraham said, 'My Lord, make this land secure, and turn me and my sons away from serving idols; 35 my Lord, they have led astray many men. Then whoso follows me belongs to me; and whoso rebels against me, surely Thou art All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 36 Our Lord! Verily I have caused some of my progeny to dwell in a valley uncultivable near Thy Sacred House, Our Lord! in order that they may establish prayer; make Thou therefore the hearts of some of mankind to yearn toward them, and provide them Thou with fruits, haply they may give thanks. 37 Our Lord, You have knowledge of all that we hide and all that we reveal; nothing in heaven or earth is hidden from Allah. 38 "Praise be to Allah, Who hath granted unto me in old age Isma'il and Isaac: for truly my Lord is He, the Hearer of Prayer! 39 O my Lord! make me one who establishes regular Prayer, and also (raise such) among my offspring O our Lord! and accept Thou my Prayer. 40 "O our Lord! cover (us) with Thy Forgiveness - me, my parents, and (all) Believers, on the Day that the Reckoning will be established! 41
