Al-Hijjr 2 of 6
We have placed constellations in heaven and have beautified it for beholders, 16 and We have made them secure against every satanic force accursed 17 Except one who steals a hearing and is pursued by a clear burning flame. 18 And We spread out the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and in it grew all things by a proper measure. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not a thing the treasure* of which is not with Us; and We do not send it down except by a known measure. (* The power to create it.) 21 And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers. 22 It is We who give life and We who give death, and We are the One who will abide. 23 And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come]. 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25
