And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. 26 and before him We created the jinn from smokeless fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 When I have formed him and breathed My spirit into him, fall down in prostration before him," 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 He said: O Iblis! What aileth thee that thou art not among the prostrate? 32 [Iblis] replied: "It is not for me to prostrate myself before mortal man whom Thou hast created out of sounding clay, out of dark slime transmuted!" 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 and will be subjected to condemnation until the Day of Judgment." 35 Iblis prayed, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Judgment". 36 The Lord said, "Your request is granted 37 till the appointed time. 38 Iblis said: "My Lord! In the manner You led me to error, I will make things on earth seem attractive to them and lead all of them to error, 39 Except Thy servants from among them, the devoted ones. 40 Said He: "This is, with Me, a straight way: 41 "Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.). 42 Surely, Hell is the place to which they are destined, 43 with seven gates leading into it, each gate receiving its allotted share of sinners. 44

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
