"Truly! The Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise). 45 [Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." 46 And We will root out whatever of rancor is in their breasts-- (they shall be) as brethren, on raised couches, face to face. 47 No weariness will come upon them, nor will they be sent away from there. 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I am indeed the Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful; 49 and that My punishment is the painful chastisement. 50 Tell them of Abraham's guests. 51 When the angels came to him and said, “Peace"; he said, “We feel afraid of you.” 52 They said: "Do not feel afraid, for we give you the good news of a wise boy." 53 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?" 54 They said: "The good tiding we give you is of truth. Do not, therefore, be of those who despair." 55 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?" 56 He added: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 excepting the household of Lot. We shall deliver all of them, 59 Except his wife; We ordained that she shall surely be of those who remain behind. 60
