Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 45 'Enter you them, in peace and security!' 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 "No sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave it." 48 ۞ Declare (O Muhammad SAW) unto My slaves, that truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most-Merciful. 49 and that My punishment is the painful chastisement. 50 Tell them about the guests of Abraham 51 When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!" 52 They said: "Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom." 53 He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me? Of what then can ye bring good tidings? 54 They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." 55 "Who would despair of the mercy of his Lord," he answered, "but those who go astray." 56 He said: And afterward what is your business, O ye messengers (of Allah)? 57 They said, "We are sent to a sinful people. 58 Only the family of Lot will all be saved, 59 Except his wife; We ordained that she shall surely be of those who remain behind. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
