Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 About all what they used to do. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
