The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 About all what they used to do. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
