And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
