The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The commandment of Allah will come to pass, so seek not ye to hasten it. Glorified and Exalted be He above all that they associate (with Him). 1 He sends down the angels with the soul of faith – the divine revelations – towards those among His bondmen He wills that, “There is no worship except for Me, therefore fear Me.” 2 He created the heavens and earth in truth. High is He above what they associate with Him. 3 He created mankind from a sperm drop, yet he is a clear adversary. 4 And the cattle hath He created, whence ye have warm clothing and uses, and whereof ye eat; 5 And for you there is beauty in them as ye drive them at eventide and as ye drive them out to pasture. 6 They carry your heavy loads to lands which you would not have been able to reach without great difficulty. Your Lord is certainly Compassionate and All-Merciful. 7 And (He has created) horses, mules and donkeys, for you to ride and as an adornment. And He creates (other) things of which you have no knowledge. 8 And upon Allah is the responsibility to explain the Straight Path (i.e. Islamic Monotheism for mankind i.e. to show them legal and illegal, good and evil things, etc. so, whosoever accepts the guidance, it will be for his own benefit and whosoever goes astray, it will be for his own destruction), but there are ways that turn aside (such as Paganism, Judaism, Christianity, etc.). And had He willed, He would have guided you all (mankind). 9
