Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Lo! those who ward off (evil) are among gardens and watersprings. 45 and they will be told to enter there in peace and safety. 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 They shall face no fatigue in it, nor shall they ever be driven out of it. 48 ۞ (Muhammad), tell My servants that I am All-forgiving and All-merciful 49 And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty. 50 And tell them of the guests of Abraham, 51 who came to him saying, "Peace be with you." Abraham said, "We are afraid of you". 52 Said they: "Fear not! Behold, we bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with deep knowledge." 53 He said, “Do you convey to me the glad tidings upon old age reaching me? So upon what do you convey glad tidings?” (* Prophet Ibrahim said this out of surprise.) 54 They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" 55 Abraham said: "Who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except the misguided?" 56 He asked: 'Messengers, what is your errand' 57 They replied: 'We are sent to sinful nation. 58 excepting the household of Lot. We shall deliver all of them, 59 except his wife. We have decreed that she will be among those who remain behind [and will be lost]. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
